Seeing Old Man Zeng leading the West Sea Elders away with a flick of their sleeves, Zhao Guang picked up his teacup and took a sip.

This kind of standoff was indeed exhausting. He placed the teacup on the coffee table when suddenly, the coffee table between two armchairs broke into pieces, along with the teacup that fell to the tiled floor and shattered into fragments.

Then, the armchair Old Man Zeng had been sitting in also collapsed noisily.

"This old man has already practiced Trembling Heaven Technique to its peak. Below Heavenly Rank Middle Level, anyone who dares to clash palm with him will either die or be seriously injured," Zhao Kuo stood up and said.

Following suit, Zhao Guang got up, looked at the scattered debris on the ground, and asked Zhao Kuo, "Are you okay after clashing palms with him just now"

"I am in a higher realm and have deeper cultivation; I'm fine. This old man looks fierce but is actually a cowardly turtle, unwilling to break through to Heavenly Rank Middle Level to avoid the heavenly tribulation," Zhao Kuo said disdainfully.

Zhao Guang nodded his head and did not wish to say anything further. He turned around to look at Hao Ren and Zhao Yanzi and said, "Let's go back home."

He then looked at the elders gathered there and said, "You all have been busy today; return home for a rest now. Minister Xia, bring me the gift lists from various parties once you’ve organized them in the Dragon Palace."

"Understood. Your Majesty, the Dragon King," Minister Xia bowed.

As Zhao Guang left the conference room, Zhao Hongyu led Hao Ren and Zhao Yanzi out as well. The elders all bowed together and said, "We bid farewell to His Majesty the Dragon King!"

When they got outside the hotel, Zhao Hongyu asked Hao Ren to leave the white Ford in the hotel's garage; then, each of them drove their respective Ferrari and black Chevrolet back to Zhao Yanzi’s home.

Zhao Hongyu worried that people from West Sea might still be around today and could cause trouble for Hao Ren, so she asked him to stay overnight at Zhao Yanzi’s house.

"Hongyu, don't worry too much. They won’t dare do anything to Ah Ren. Currently, the situation is such that Ah Ren is a prince consort of East Sea. If they dare harm him, we will retaliate with full force. Old Man Zeng understands this principle," Zhao Guang said as he took off his coat.

He had been busy entertaining guests today and was indeed quite exhausted.

"Still, it’s better to be safe than sorry. Ah Ren can stay here tonight," Zhao Hongyu insisted.

Hao Ren nodded in agreement, deciding to spend the night with Zhao Yanzi. His grandmother was away elsewhere, as were his parents; even if he returned home, there wouldn't be anyone around.

"I'm going up then," Zhao Yanzi rubbed her eyes sleepily and seemed very tired. To Hao Ren's surprise, she did not voice any objections to him staying overnight at her place today.

Hao Ren followed her upstairs as he walked behind her; seeing her wearing silk lingerie made her look rather cute in a lazy manner.

Back in the room, after a tiring day, Zhao Yanzi immediately went into the bathroom to shower. Unlike Hao Ren who had been busy with official duties all day, she had taken a day off from school and spent the whole morning accompanying Zhao Guang in welcoming important predecessors; it was already past ten at night when they returned home, leaving her utterly drained.

Hao Ren sat by her desk while listening to the faint sound of water inside the sliding door, then flipped through her homework.

Compared to her previous abysmal performance, Zhao Yanzi's recent homework shows some progress, but upon a quick glance, there are still quite a few mistakes.

The birthday party is over. Finally, an important event is completed; she should now focus on studying seriously. With the change of seasons, Zhao Yanzi has changed her curtains, pillowcases, and bed sheets to lighter colors, giving her room a fresher look.

A whiff of faint fragrance lingers in the room, making it very comfortable.

When Hao Ren finished checking Zhao Yanzi's math, physics, and chemistry homework on the table, she came out from the bathroom wearing pink pajamas.

"Hey! You didn't give me a birthday gift this time." Wiping her hair with a small towel, she walked over and shouted at Hao Ren.

"Just returned from grandma's place and then went to school for my report card; too busy," so I forgot to buy one for you," Hao Ren said.

"Busy, busy, in the end, it’s still forgetfulness!" Zhao Yanzi wrinkled her nose and rolled her eyes at Hao Ren.

"I’ll make up for it a few days later." Hao Ren said weakly.

"My birthday has passed; what's there to make up for" She extended her clean, tender white hand that was still steaming, "Take out your wallet."

Hao Ren acted like a little lamb being robbed and obediently took out his wallet, placing it in her palm.

Zhao Yanzi didn’t hesitate; she opened the wallet and pulled out all the large-denomination bills before putting them into the drawer of her own desk. She then raised her head and said fiercely, "This time is okay, no gift bought, cashed in!"

This look indeed made her seem like a school bully. Hao Ren even suspected whether she was working part-time outside during breaks, extorting classmates' pocket money.

"Alright, go take your shower!" Seeing Hao Ren staring at her blankly, Zhao Yanzi glared and said sternly.

Hao Ren sighed helplessly and walked to the bathroom.

"Here!" Suddenly, from a cabinet by her bed, Zhao Yanzi flipped out a set of men's pajamas and threw it towards Hao Ren.

Hao Ren caught the pajama and hesitantly looked at Zhao Yanzi.

Zhao Yanzi... realizing something was amiss, her face flushed red. "It’s not me! It's my mom who put it there!"

Hao Ren smiled and took the pajamas to the bathroom for a shower. Meanwhile, Zhao Yanzi’s face turned slightly warm again; her explanation seemed somewhat like trying to cover up.

After a refreshing cold shower, Hao Ren came out of the bathroom and indeed saw Zhao Yanzi fiddling with her computer again.

"Hmm," Hao Ren cleared his throat as he walked over. "I’ll put my clothes here."

"Just leave them; my mom will wash them." Zhao Yanzi said, her gaze focused on the screen of her computer.

"It's so late. You should go to bed early,"

"You two, go to bed early."

Hao Ren sighed slightly and entered the second round of the game. Zhao Yanzi also adjusted her position, sitting beside Hao Ren. Afraid that Hao Ren's shoulder would block her view, she moved to sit in front of him.

"Over here! Here too! And there as well! Use items, use items!" She wasn't good at playing games but was very skilled at giving commands. As the second round heated up, she began to shout excitedly.

Zhao Hongyu and Zhao Guang, who were next door, exchanged無奈 glances upon hearing Zhao Yanzi's loud shouts and could only turn up the volume on the TV.

Eventually, Zhao Yanzi couldn't contain herself any longer. She stretched out her slender arms to help Hao Ren control item usage. Her fingers rapidly tapped the keyboard as she moved slightly.

Hao Ren felt that Zhao Yanzi was shaking and bumping against him in front of him. With his hands on either side of the keyboard, he naturally ended up hugging her.

The sweet scent made it feel like he was holding a small teddy bear made of cake.

Regardless of how skilled their opponent was, they couldn't defeat two people operating together. They soon lost and exited the game room after six consecutive losses.

"Hahaha," Zhao Yanzi laughed arrogantly but then felt unladylike and quickly stopped herself.

She looked at her sides where Hao Ren's arms were holding onto the keyboard, trapping her in between. Her posture made it seem as if she was leaning against Hao Ren.

Squeezing her teeth together, she suddenly bent her arm and pushed back hard.

Ouch! This unexpected elbow strike caught Hao Ren off guard; he felt a sharp pain in his chest.

Thinking about how this uncle had taken advantage of the situation to hold her for so long, Zhao Yanzi, now calm from the game, quickly jumped out of her chair and then rushed into her bed, burrowing under her covers.

Hao Ren didn't understand why Zhao Yanzi's mood swung between good and bad. He pulled out bedding from under Zhao Yanzi’s bed to set up a sleeping arrangement on the floor.

Zhao Yanzi thought Hao Ren could sleep in that empty room but eventually decided not to say anything about it.

"That 'Prince of Western Sea'..." Hao Ren lay down on his makeshift bed and said.

"Don’t mention him!" Zhao Yanzi immediately shouted.

Hao Ren stopped talking. Zhao Yanzi suddenly turned over, looking down at the floor where Hao Ren was lying. "Is grandma out of town"

"Yeah," Hao Ren nodded.

"Let’s go find her tomorrow and play with her," Zhao Yanzi said, flashing an idea in her eyes.

"Uh… sure." After a brief hesitation, Hao Ren answered.
